Summer 2025 Style Guide: Boho Chic Summer

The theme for Summer 2025 is Boho Chic with a heavy influence of '90s and early 2000s trends. It’s giving the three S’s – sequins, silk, and snakeskin. Styling with juxtaposition is my favorite way to go, so I'm living for the idea of making boho into something chic.

Snakeskin is having its moment—and honestly, it’s kind of becoming the new leopard. Still a statement, still bold, but way cooler. I’ve been seeing it in shoes, skirts, and even tiny bags, and I love how it adds a little edge to softer textures like lace or crochet. It’s one of those prints that can be both neutral and dramatic, depending on how you style it—and I’m definitely here for that kind of energy.

Staples like layered tank tops are giving the Clueless vibes we needed back, and are being paired with kitten heels or wedge sandals for a more casual look.

Crochet tops with sequin paillettes are the cutest way to add sparkle to summer clothes,

and can be styled up or down for a day-to-night transition.

I for one am inspired by denim halter tops—I'm even in the process of making one for myself. And what cuter way to wear it than with a denim skirt that matches? Total early 2000s fantasy.

It wouldn't be Boho without lace shorts and skirts. A fun twist I’ve been loving is wearing bloomers—I paired mine with a white boat neck tank top, a grey short-sleeve crochet shirt over it, and moto boots. It gives that soft-and-strong contrast I always go for.

The latest shoe trends I’ve seen are a hybrid cross between the ballet sneaker and a platform sandal, which I need to get my hands on. I'm not a fan of typical summer sandals—they usually hurt my feet and don’t really flatter me—so this trend feels like the upgrade I’ve been waiting for.

Skinny scarves are the accessory of the season—especially in light silk or sheer fabrics. It’s giving Sharpay Evans goes to Coachella, in the best way.

And for the final touch, the motifs we’re seeing are so nostalgic and dreamy—shells, pearls, starfish—which honestly makes me want to be a kid again so I can play mermaids all summer long.
