As we see time and again, history repeats itself—and so do fashion trends. That’s nothing new, but what is new are the fresh ways we reinvent them. From color variations and pant silhouettes to bag sizes and prints, fashion always offers room for creativity. That’s why I believe in investing in trend pieces that are bound to make a comeback or can be repurposed once the trend fades. With that philosophy in mind, let’s dive into trend #1:

The Fur Revival

This year’s fashion shows have been filled with faux fur—hats, bags, coats—and I’m here for all of it. Designers are taking things a step further, introducing fur skirts, which will be interesting to see translated into everyday fashion.

Oversized Everything

The next trend embraces the idea that bigger is better. I, for one, love this, as oversized tees are timeless, and baggy jeans have become a staple in nearly everyone’s wardrobe. Not only are jeans getting looser, but ‘jorts’—baggy jean shorts with a relaxed "dad fit"—are also making a strong return. Oversized tailoring is back as well, with trench coats dominating this category.

Layering

Layering is nothing new—we’re all familiar with the concept—but this season, it's taking on a bolder, more expressive form. We’re seeing oversized pieces, fringe details, and unexpected print combinations that make a statement rather than blend in. Brands are mixing prints and textures in ways we might not traditionally pair, while fringe is making a major comeback on jackets, bags, and even pants.

Deep Jewel Tones

For fall, rich hues like eggplant, emerald, and earthy tones are taking center stage. These deep colors are some of my personal favorites, as they pair beautifully together and create a sophisticated, monochrome look that always feels polished and intentional.

Final Thoughts

Fashion is a continuous cycle, but the way we reinterpret trends is what keeps it exciting. Whether you're embracing faux fur, playing with oversized silhouettes, layering with confidence, or leaning into deep jewel tones, the beauty of fashion lies in making trends your own. So take what resonates, mix it with your personal style, and wear it in a way that feels uniquely you. Because in the end, the best trend to follow is the one that makes you feel your best.
